Sun Valley Obon This Weekend

The Sun Valley Obon will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Valley Japanese Community Center, 8850 Lankershim Blvd. in Sun Valley.

The event will feature Japanese dance, cultural exhibits, games, food and a raffle.

Bon Odori will take place at 7 p.m. both days. Everyone is invited to join in the dancing.

Live entertainment will be provided by Akaoni Daiko, making its debut, on Saturday and L.A. Matsuri Taiko on Sunday.

Demonstrations of tea ceremony will be given both days, plus karate and kendo on Saturday and judo on Sunday.
