Kizuna Children’s Book Now Available for Purchase

A new children’s book written by the team at Kizuna, a Little Tokyo-based Japanese American youth development organization, is available for sale now.

“Thank You Very Mochi” is the story of a young Japanese American girl named Kimi, and what she and her family learn from her grandpa after the family mochi machine breaks down. Paul Matsushima, who came up with the story concept, co-wrote the book with Sophie Wang and Craig Ishii.

Full of tradition and culture, this imaginative children’s book will “pound” into children’s hearts the importance of family relationships and cultural traditions.

“Thank You Very Mochi” makes a great holiday gift for friends and family of all ages, and is ideal for children ages 4 to 8. The book is hardcover and full-color, vibrantly illustrated by Jing Zheng.

Order by Monday, Dec. 12, to ensure delivery by Dec. 24. More information about the book and purchasing can be found at book.kizuna-la.org.
