Friends of JACCC to Present New Year’s Eve Dance Party Benefit
Kokoro
Start the new year off by giving to the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center at “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” a New Year’s Eve dance benefit.
Presented by the Friends of JACCC, the third annual New Year’s Eve dance party is on Saturday, Dec. 31, from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and at Nishi Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, 815 E. 1st St. in Little Tokyo. Free parking is available on the property.
Guests at the popular celebration will dance the night away to live music by community favorite Kokoro. The band covers music from Motown to country, rock and pop, and the hits of the ’60s to current Billboard chart-toppers. The special evening also includes a Cre8tive Outlets photo booth, food by Maison Akira and Café Dulce, a New Year’s sake toast, and party favors.
Tickets are $75 for individuals and $750 for patron tables. Corporate/VIP tables are also available for $1,500 and include a New Year’s champagne toast, premium seating, premium party favors, and special Maison Akira hors d’oeuvres with bento supper.
“We are very grateful to the Friends of JACCC for their commitment to our organization and for putting on a fun, celebratory event every year,” said JACCC President and CEO Leslie Ito. “We look forward to ringing in the new year with the community!”
Space is limited. Proceeds will benefit JACCC and its programs. Reservations and ticket purchases can be made by emailing Carol Tanita at cntanita@mail.com or Wayne Nagao at wnagao@msn.com. For additional details, visit www.jaccc.org.
