Free Tickets for Screening of New ‘Digimon’ Movie

The Rafu Shimpo is giving away tickets to a one-night-only screening of the new animated feature “Digimon Adventure Tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion,” based on the popular Japanese series.

The film has already delighted audiences across its native Japan, and now, this new chapter in the series is set to make its U.S. premiere next Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.

Eleven Arts and Toei Animation will bring to movie theaters nationwide for this exclusive event, the first Digimon English-dubbed feature to be released in the U.S. since 2000. The screening will also feature an extended sneak peek of the English-subbed Chapter 3 as well as additional bonus content.

To enter for a pair a free passes, CLICK HERE. Provide your full name, email, zip code and explain why you’re a huge “Digimon” fan. Supplying your zip code will help determine which screening will be held nearest to you.

In the film, it’s been six years since that summer adventure when Tai (now in high school) and the rest of the “DigiDestined” crossed over to the Digital World, and nearly three years since the frenzied final battles between warring factions. With the gate to the Digital World closed, time continues to pass, until the adventure “digi-volves” once again.

Tickets can be purchased online by visiting www.Elevenarts.net or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. and Canada will be able to enjoy the event in over 400 select movie theaters. For a complete list of theater locations, visit the Eleven Arts website (theaters and participants are subject to change).

Eleven Arts’ anime titles include: the Evangelion franchise, “Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos,” the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise, “Blue Exorcist: The Movie,” “Expelled from Paradise,” “The Last: Naruto the Movie,” “Boruto: Naruto the Movie,” and “The Anthem of the Heart.”
