Final Taisho Club Health Fair to Be Held Nov. 5
The 38th annual Taisho Club Health Fair will be held on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Japanese Catholic Center (formerly Maryknoll Catholic Center), 222 S. Hewitt St. (between Second and Third streets) in Little Tokyo.
The services offered at this year’s health fair include: flu shot (free with Medicare card), blood test, eye screening, blood pressure test and hearing test. Medical consultation will be also offered in the areas of internal medicine, gastroenterology, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, acupuncture and acupressure.
While most health examinations and consultations including flu shots are free of charge, the cost of blood test, if desired, is $18. Persons who wish to have the blood test are advised not to drink or eat from midnight. Japanese language-speaking physicians and nurses will volunteer their services at the health fair. No appointments are necessary.
