Enjoying a Walk N Roll

Children from JSPACC (Japanese Speaking Parents Association of Children with Challenges) enjoyed a day of fun and healthy activities at the inaugural Walk N Roll event on Oct. 15 in Alhambra. The walk-run was sponsored by Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California and was held in celebration of National Disability Awareness Month. Participants enjoyed activities such as hula hoops, educational booths and food vendors. Alhambra Vice Mayor Jeff Maloney and former mayor Gary Yamauchi, honorary event chair, welcomed the participants. Right: Leah Utar sings the National Anthem.
