Blossom Viewing, Origami Demonstrations at Descanso Gardens


Try your hand at the art of origami with help from experts at this drop-in activity. No registration required. Free with admission to gardens.

Morning Yoga on March 15, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Cost: $116 for eight weeks.

Spring Bloom Walks on March 15 at 1 p.m., March 16 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Stroll through the gardens and learn about cherry blossoms, flowering trees and other seasonal spring favorites on these guided walks. Thursdays and Fridays at 1 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. through May 12. Free with regular admission. No registration required, subject to availability.

Night Garden: Plant Power on March 16 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Relaxing activities that will help you understand the amazing potential of the living things that grow all around us. Cost: $5 members, $15 non-members.

Spring Blooms Wine Dinner on March 22 at 6 p.m. Patina presents a four-course dinner in the Rose Garden. Cost: $100 per person. Advance reservations required.

Tomatomania! On March 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The world’s largest tomato seedling sale. Get tips from experts on growing great tomatoes at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Free with regular admission.
