Las Vegas Obon Festival/Bazaar on Aug. 6


LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha will hold the 28th annual Las Vegas Obon Festival and Bazaar on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Clark High School, 4291 Pennwood Ave. (on Arville between Sahara and Desert Inn) in Las Vegas. Note new date and venue.

Bento lunches produced by Osaka Restaurant Commercial Kitchen will be served at 12 p.m. Cost is $17; subject to availability. Japanese desserts, sushi and Spam musubi will also be available.

Entertainment will be provided by Kaminari Taiko and Na Hula Hali’a Aloha.

The festival will also feature an exhibitors’ hall for shopping; a car show with Japanese-made cars; a raffle and door prizes.

Buddhist Sangha services will be held Sunday, Aug. 7, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 4110 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. in North Las Vegas.
